Challenger's Cup Regatta
16th Annual Challenger's Cup Regatta was scheduled for Sunday, September 9, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Portsmouth Yacht Club and was cancelled due to inclement weather. Due to scheduling conflicts it will not be rescheduled this year.

In May 2003 Jesse Gage the Regatta's Chairman received the Paul Harris Fellow from the Portsmouth Rotary Club. For more information about this click here.
The Challenger’s Cup Regatta is sponsored by Community Developmental Services and has been a successful sailing and boating event for the past fourteen years. It takes place at the Portsmouth Yacht Club every September. The Regatta is a fun race, open to power and sailboats 16 feet or longer, where each boat has to have a person with a disability on board as a working crew member. With this idea in mind, we also want to let people in the community know about our agency and what services we provide.
One of the long term goals we were hoping for was to have relationships develop between the boat owners and some of the consumers that were crewing on their boats.
The Regatta Committee will match up consumers and boat owners with each other, although many of them will request the same boat or crew from the previous year.
There is currently no entry fee, and there are great prizes for the winners, a barbecue, free raffles, and spectacular boats rides.
